Mission Healthcare provides a variety of services and specialty programs to fit the needs of our residents:
- Long-term skilled nursing care – This traditional type of care is given to residents who need medical or nursing care.
- Assisted living and advanced assisted living units – We offer homes for those who want to maintain a fairly independent lifestyle, but want the peace of mind of having 24-hour staff on hand to assist when needed.
- Hospice care – We provide support to residents who need hospice care and their family to help ensure residents’ quality of life.
- Outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation services – Our services include physical, occupational and speech therapy.
- Veterans Affairs-certified facilities – Several of our facilities are certified by the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs and adhere to its standards in providing care to eligible veterans.
- Specialty Units:
- Transitional care – We assist residents who need short-term care and rehabilitative services following hospitalization so that they can recover and return home as quickly as possible.
- Behavioral-focused units – Our staff has expertise in working with residents with behavioral issues.
- Respite care – We provide planned, temporary care to patients whose caregivers need to take personal or vacation time.
- Ventilator care – Our experienced staff and state-of-the-art ventilators ensure that our residents with ventilator needs receive the best possible care. Our Bethel Care Center, located in St. Paul, is the largest ventilator program in Minnesota that is based in a long-term care facility.
- Traumatic brain injury care – We provide specialized care for residents with traumatic brain injury (TBI), whether they require short- or long-term care. TBI residents usually display cognitive and emotional changes; have sensory deficits and speech difficulties; and experience physical decline. Our Red Wing Health Center specializes in care of TBI residents from ages 16 to 65+. The center utilizes the latest treatment modalities from the TBI Association.
- Alzheimer/memory care – We provide care that is tailored to the unique needs of residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
